Working as a business and personal coach is a natural progression for Dan both professionally and personally. His experience in communications, counseling, and human resource development, as well as his own spiritual journey have given him a profound appreciation for human resourcefulness and creativity.

As a counselor, working in a variety of mental health settings with demographically diverse client populations, he has learned how a supportive, caring relationship can empower both individual and group efforts to solve problems and to give form to dreams.
Dan is a published author of nonfiction, essays, fiction, and poetry and has undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, psychology, and communications. Currently he is a doctoral candidate in humanistic and transpersonal psychology at Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.

Dan is a licensed coach/facilitator of the Corporate Coach U Corporate Coaching Clinic and a licensed administrator of the Emotional Competence Inventory for assessing and coaching Emotional Intelligence.
Formerly he served as an internal coach/consultant at the U.S. Department of Labor, where he worked closely with Diane Foster to lead an effort to train managers as coaches, with a focus on the development of emotional intelligence skills for leadership. Dan has trained as a corporate and personal coach in both the Corporate Business Coaching Program at Corporate Coach U and the Coaching Training Program at CoachU. Currently he is training with the Mentor Coach Training Program for mental health professionals transitioning into coaching.
